- Worked on an array of different products from SaaS to high-traffic web applications and everything in-between. At Xeppo, we maintained not just an ASP.NET MVC web portal, but .NET Core microservices, multiple WebAPIs and Windows services.
- Experience maintaining and deploying changes to “busy” applications, whether that’s serving web pages or high-throughput data pipelines. At Trade Me I successfully rolled out changes to live web forms and stored procedures that were being executed 7 times per second. While at Xeppo, our data warehouse routinely processed hundreds of thousands of clients’ data every night, requiring careful examination of algorithms and profiling application code.
- Driven by a love of learning, I’ll happily launch myself at any opportunity to grow my skills and learn more about the product I’m working on or the frameworks it employs.
- Focussed on best practices including test-driven development and a good understanding of the balance between fragility and coverage when it comes to automated testing and CI. At Xeppo, I coached the team about the benefits of unit testing and mocking dependencies. Zettle is a digital conveyancing platform which manages a property sale or purchase all the way from initial contract review through to a settled matter.
I worked fully remotely with a small team of 3-6 developers and responsible for the bulk of the development of the entire product. The various applications interfaced with many different 3rd party APIs and leveraged AI to parse information from documents and build customer advice.
This role also required building a small mobile app for Android and iOS using Flutter.
